TOP TEN TUESDAY: Authors I've Only Read One Book From But NEED to Read More

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
Hay-lo!  It's another Tuesday and our exams ended today and I have free time so I thought, "why not do a TTT post? Since I haven't done one in quite a while..." Without further ado, then, here it is!

This week's topic is: [drum roll]

Top Ten Authors I've Only Read One Book From But NEED to Read More

Jodi Lynn Anderson
"I write books about vaguely magical peach orchards, resorts in the afterlife, enigmatic island princesses beloved by Tinkerbell, and...civics! I was an awkward and strange child who kept lots of secrets. Now I live with a sweet Basenji dog named Peanut who loves to eat shoes, and a sweet husband who is good at all the things I'm bad at, like being organized and thinking things through. I've loved writing and reading about mythical and strange things since I can remember"
Jodi Lynn Anderson is the New York Times bestselling author of Peaches, The Secrets of Peaches, Love and Peaches, Tiger Lily, and the popular May Bird trilogy. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and an endless parade of stray pets.

The Moment Collector
  • After I've read this hauntingly gloomy book, I just knew I had to read more of Ms. Anderson. I'm aware of her other fantasy novel, Tiger Lily, but I never really found the time to go read it? But really, after The Moment Collector, it's like a crime not to check out more her.

Amber Hart
"Hey, everyone! I'm Amber Hart, author of the Before & After series (Young Adult), and the Until You Find Me series (New Adult). *waves* I currently live on the FL coast. Will soon be living in the Smoky Mountains. If I don't have my face in a book, you can pretty much find me writing, daydreaming, or eating copious amounts of chocolate."
Amber Hart grew up in Orlando, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. She now resides in the Smoky Mountains with family. When unable to find a book, she can be found writing or daydreaming. She's the author of the Before & After series (BEFORE YOU, AFTER US, MAYBE ME), and the Until You Find Me series (UNTIL YOU FIND ME, sequel TBA). Rep'd by Beth Miller of Writers House.

Before You
  • Before You is easily one of the cutest novels I've read this year. It's got romance with a substance. It has diversity, witty characters, and lessons people can pick up on. Plus, Amber is one of the first authors I've got the opportunity to have a little online chat with and she's very nice!

Lucy Christopher was born in Wales but grew up in Australia. She obtained an Undergraduate degree at Melbourne University. She moved to the UK to earn a distinction in a Creative Writing MA from Bath Spa University. The novel she wrote for this class, The Long Flight, was picked up by a publisher under a new name of FLYAWAY.

Lucy’s debut novel,
Stolen, was written as part for her PhD degree. Stolen explores her thoughts on the Australian desert through the story about a teenage girl who is kidnapped and taken there.

Lucy is working on another teen novel. When she is not writing, Lucy spends her time daydreaming, emailing friends and horseback riding a mare named Topaz as well as helping to run a kid’s wildlife group at Newport Wetlands.

book i've read of lucy christopher:                                                                   Stolen
  • This, in all honesty, is one of those books I've read that just might give me a little dramafest when remembered. I actually am thinking about having one at the moment I'm typing this. I swear, if you have not felt emotional while reading this, even just once, then you just might be a robot. I'm not even a fan of kidnappers and I hate the thought of that, but this novel... This novel is bound to give you Stockholm syndrome. This novel is bound to put you through a roller coaster pf emotions and leave you, well, feeling the hangover (for the lack of better word) of being in an intense roller coaster. To sum it all up, this novel is a masterpiece.

Jandy Nelson
Jandy Nelson received a BA from Cornell, an MFA from Brown in poetry, and another MFA from Vermont College in writing for children and young adults. A literary agent for many years, she is also a published poet. The Sky Is Everywhere is her first novel. Jandy lives in San Francisco.

The Sky is Everywhere
  • This novel's one of those feel good novels. With cute people in it. With poetry in it. With music in it. Need I say more?

Kasie West
I write YA. I eat Junior Mints. Sometimes I go crazy and do both at the same time. My novels, published through Harper Teen are: PIVOT POINT, its sequel SPLIT SECOND (Feb 2014), and THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US (a contemporary novel). I also have two more contemporaries, ON THE FENCE coming out July 1, 2014, and THE FILL-IN BOYFRIEND coming out the summer of 2015. My agent is the talented and funny Michelle Wolfson.

The Distance Between Us
  • I love love LOVE The Distance Between Us! It's witty, it's funny, it's cheeky, and it's smart. It's a very fast read and very much sure to keep you entertained. The characters are ridiculous, the romance is amazeballs... I can't even explain my feelings for this novel properly. Just that it's absolutely one of my favorites and it made me need more of Kasie West's works.

Robyn Schneider is a writer, actor, and online personality who misspent her youth in a town coincidentally similar to Eastwood. Robyn is a graduate of Columbia University, where she studied creative writing, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where she studied medical ethics. She is also the author of the middle grade Knightley Academy books, written as Violet Haberdasher. She lives in Los Angeles, California, but also on the internet. You can watch her vlogs at youtube.com/robynisrarelyfunny and follow her on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram.

book i've read of robyn schneider:
The Beginning of Everything
  • The Beginning of Everything is Robyn Schneider's debut novel. And it's amazing. It actually reminds me of Jerry Spinelli's Stargirl duology for some reason. But this is lighter. It's funnier (somehow). ...Cheesier. Plus, the nerdy references! Plus, it's a feel good novel. It will make you cry somehow, but it will leave you with a good feeling in your chest. (And mind.)

Aaand that's it for this week, guys! How about you? Any authors you want to read more of?

'Til next time!
P.S. Who will I be seeing in the MIBF (Manila International Book Fair) on Sunday!?
