Have you gotten used to reading on your Kindle, iPad, Nook, or other reading device? Do you have tons of pretty books filling your bookshelves that are just begging to be read (and maybe sniffed a little too)? Do you have a favorite book or series that you’ve been looking for a reason to reread?
All these scenarios, and so many more, are the perfect reason to join the “Real” Book Challenge! Join us in a quest to put down the electronic devices and pick up a physical copy of your favorite book(s).
The "Real" Book Challenge is a challenge hosted by Swoony Boys Podcast and Fiction Fare that dares readers to stick to the printed word and achieve their certain goals of "real" books read per year!
- The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston (goodreads/amazon/tbd)
- My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick (goodreads/amazon/tbd)
Progress on challenge: 23/40
Goodreads challenge progress: 33/60
I'd like to apologize to the world and to myself for my very poor progress. My brain's been very much occupied with school stuff and inner demons in the past months I couldn't focus on my books. (My TBR purchases have been growing and it never came to that point in my life before. [I mean, besides for my sudden craves to purchase novels every now and then.] I never so much as neglect or lost my muse to sit down with a book for hours before. There is too much crap in my head right now. I'm really sorry.)
Anyway, yeeaaah, I kid. I'm aiming to be a Real Book Afficionado this year! I mentioned last month that I'm reducing the number of real books I'm reading this year, yeah? Well I organized my goodreads bookshelves a week ago and realized I've surpassed the previous goal. So then I'm taking it up the next level! Wish me the best of luck!
What about you? How many real books have you read this month? How much more do you have to read to attain your goal?
'Til next time!
